Arising from the Kyoto Agreement on the restriction of CO2 emissions, the
British Government Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA),
as the administrative body in UK, accredited Peter Brown as one of a small cadre of trained and
tested arbitrators to be available to adjudicate disputes arising from
infringements of the UK Government and EU Commission CO2 emissions
regulations, or from the trading of ‘emission licences’. This service is
available particularly to the international malting and brewing industries,
and other ‘energy hungry’ sectors.
